WB2EU – Final publication

EuropaNova is pleased to present the results of the WB2EU (Western Balkans to the EU) project!

We are extremely proud to announce the triumphant conclusion of the WB2EU project, the result of several years of intense collaboration and unwavering commitment from the entire EuropaNova team (Guillaume Klossa and Isabelle Négrier). With the valuable support of the Erasmus+ program, this project has crossed borders, fostered dialogue, and opened new perspectives for the future of Europe. The WB2EU program connects this engaged civil society, the academic world, and political actors, with EU integration for these states as its horizon.

At the heart of this initiative lies a set of leading publications, including Policy briefs, Policy papers, and research articles from the EuropaNova Scientific Committee. We are particularly honored to present the article by Marc Nebojsa Vukadinovic, a member of our scientific committee, on « The French perspective on EU Enlargement and vision towards the Western Balkans, » published in this final project publication.

But the WB2EU project is not limited to academic writings. EuropaNova has actively participated in large-scale events, such as the Cres Summer School in Croatia, where talented youth from the Union exchanged ideas about the future with the Balkans. This experience illustrates our commitment to youth and intercultural cooperation. This event is part of the « Western Balkans 2 the European Union » program supported by the European Commission through the Erasmus+ Jean Monnet network. Its objective is to encourage citizen engagement and activism in favor of values cherished by Europe: the rule of law, democracy, freedom, and social justice. At the same time, it supports initiatives that oppose climate inaction or corruption.

The relationship between the European Union and the Western Balkans is crucial for the future of our continent. By fostering stability, democracy, and economic development in the region, closer integration promises invaluable mutual benefits.

We want to express our appreciation to all our partners and collaborators whose contributions have been instrumental to the success of this project.
