Isabelle Négrier's talk on Franceinfo

EuropaNova's Executive Director, Isabelle Négrier, spoke live on Franceinfo on May 26, alongside Anthony Bellanger, a specialist in international issues, and Yves Doutriaux, former French ambassador to the OSCE and deputy representative of France to the UN.

🤝Emmanuel Macron's state visit to Germany comes at a key moment in European history. For Isabelle Négrier, the visit should not be seen simply as a Franco-German visit, but as a “major European moment”, providing an opportunity to tackle the European agenda in the run-up to the June 9 elections.

📚At this meeting, the two heads of state discussed points of divergence as well as convergence, and Franco-German cooperation, particularly on the subject of education. The mutual development of French and German language learning for citizens is a key element in the Franco-German relationship.

🚀On the agenda, cooperation between the two states also focused on the technology sector. As President Macron announced, “several agreements and treaties” will be signed during this three-day visit to Germany.

While Executive Director Isabelle Négrier was in Paris, EuropaNova President Guillaume Klossa was invited to the presidential meeting in Berlin for this 3-day visit. As the bearer of the European Conclave to be held in November 2023, which will define the priorities of the European agenda, his presence at this visit will help disseminate the objectives that you can find in the report of the Conclave, available on our website.
